B2. Stewards –

Galatians 6:7-8…Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.

The word mocked in v.7 means “to turn up one’s nose.” No one can thumb their nose at God. He knows the truth about all people. The infinite God refuses to allow finite humans to ignore or despise Him.

Growing up on a farm I understand the principle of sowing and reaping. Plant corn seed and you get corn. Plant hay seed and you get hay. What my father harvested depended on what he planted. Our lives are the same way. Our words, actions, and attitudes produce consequences. They expose what we plant in our daily life.

For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Those who help their brothers and sisters in Jesus will reap a spiritual harvest, but those who refuse to help will reap trouble.  Every person sows either to his flesh or to the Spirit.  This eternal life reward and relationship with God begins with conversion, grows as we live by the Spirit, and will be made complete when we enter heaven and enjoy all of its benefits.

O God help me be a good steward of the life and resources you have entrusted me with.
