The moment a person is saved they have Freedom from the penalty and power of sin. The Disciples sins are forever forgiven as described below:
Sunday – 1. He casts all our sins into the depths of the sea [Micah 7:18-19…19b You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. CSB].
Monday – 2. He does not charge us with sin but credits us with His righteousness [Romans 4:8 Blessed is the person the Lord will never charge with sin. CSB; Psalms 32:2; 2 Corinthians 5:21 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. NASB]
Tuesday – 3. He removes our sins from us as far as the east from the west; an immeasurable distance since east and west will never meet [Psalms 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.; John 1:29).
Wednesday – 4. He nailed our sin debt to the cross [Colossians 2:14 He erased the certificate of debt, with its obligations, that was against us and opposed to us, and has taken it away by nailing it to the cross. CSB]
Thursday – 5. He throws all our sins behind His back [Isaiah 38:17 Indeed, it was for my own well-being that I had such intense bitterness; but your love has delivered me from the Pit of destruction, for you have thrown all my sins behind your back. CSB ].
Friday – 6. He remembers our sins no more [Isaiah 43:25; Jeremiah 31:34; Hebrews 8:12; 10:16-17 8:12 For I will forgive their wrongdoing, and I will never again remember their sins. CSB]
Saturday – 7. Sin leaves a mark or a stain only God can wipe away. He washes away our guilt completely and cleanses us from our sin [Psalms 51:2 Completely wash away my guilt and cleanse me from my sin; Isaiah 1:18 Come, let us settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are crimson red, they will be like wool. CSB; 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. NASB].
At the moment of salvation, “Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.” [Romans 8:10] and the Disciple has Freedom from the penalty of sin and dominion of the power of sin.
Since the Disciple has freedom from the dominion of the power of sin Paul ask “ 1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2a May it never be! ” A However when we do sin our fellowship is broken with Jesus but not our relationship as a member of God’s family. And the fellowship is restored when we confess and ask for forgiveness. B
Notes: A- Romans 6:1-2a; B- 1 John 1:9, There will be consequences from sin for the Disciple!
