Galatians 3:25-29… 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
The person who has received Jesus Christ is no longer under the law, the tutor, but under grace.
26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with [or put on] Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Vv.26-29 uses the phrase ” “in, into, with, or to” Christ” five times to refer to the “sons of God”. V. 26- The family of God is made up of the believers “in Christ Jesus,” united to Him by faith alone and accepted by God on the merit of Jesus Christ.
V.27- All Disciples were “baptized into Christ” by the Spirit of God placing the believer into union with Christ and into union with other believers in the body of Christ at the moment of salvation. The new Disciple’s first act of obedience is to be baptized by water baptism in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in accordance with Matthew 28:19. In baptism, the new Disciple acknowledges they have previously called on Jesus and declared Him to be the Son of God and their Lord and were saved. A
V.28- All Disciples are one in Christ Jesus whether men or woman, without regard to their economic situation or race. All are equal and their bodies are the Temple of God with the presence of His Spirit.
V.29- And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.
Justification was not by the works of the law, but we belong to Christ by faith in Christ alone. Under the gospel, all Disciples are Abraham’s spiritual descendants and his heir’s according to the promise of God made to Abraham.
