1 Corinthians 6:15-17.. 15 Don’t you know that your bodies are a part of Christ’s body? So should I take a part of Christ’s body and make it part of a prostitute? Absolutely not! 16 Don’t you know that anyone joined to a prostitute is one body with her? For Scripture says, The two will become one flesh. 17 But anyone joined to the Lord is one spirit with him.

Paul makes a strong statement about sexual purity by stating; since the Disciples body is a part of the body of Jesus we must not perform immoral sexual acts. He refers back to God’s words that Jesus confirmed; For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.A

The Disciples spirit is alive because their sin has been exchanged for the righteousness of Jesus. B  Be thankful that the Disciple is alive in Jesus.

Dr. Henry Morris said this C: “The Holy Scriptures [KJV] are called “the lively oracles” D. “Lively” and “living” represent the same Greek word, zao; thus, the Bible is God’s “living word.” Jesus Christ called Himself “the living bread which came down from heaven,” sent down by “the living Father” E. He also promised that all who believe on Him would find living water” flowing through their lives F.

He has opened for us through “His substitutionary death and justifying resurrection “a new and living way; which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh” G. Furthermore, He has thereby “begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” H.

We are therefore urged to “present [our] bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is [our] reasonable service” I.

Our God is, indeed, the God of the living!”
