Paul said; ” I have fought the good fight,”

2 Timothy 4:7-8..

In 67 AD near the end of his life Paul wrote the words above. In the 33 years since his conversion he could say “I have fought the good fight,” What a goal or vision for each of us for our life as disciples. We can look forward to Jesus saying Well done, good and faithful servant!” A  Paul further said 7bI have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” And that the Lord would award him the crown of righteousness in v.8.

After the rapture all disciples will be judged in heaven in our resurrected bodies as to our works since our salvation. This judgment will determine whether we receive rewards or get into in heaven with our coattails on fire. B

After the millennium all the people who rejected Jesus as their Savior on earth will also be judged for their works. They will all be thrown into the lake of fire” C because their names will not be in the book of life. Every person we meet is heading to one of these two destinations. Will we share the gospel out of our love for Jesus?

O God help me to live today as your servant, finishing strong so I can repeat the words of Paul near the end.  “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” [2 Timothy 4:7-8 CSB]
