God’s Glory Revealed

Exodus 40:34-35.. 34 Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 35 Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

This is a night picture where the pillar of fire stood over the Tabernacle, but during the day the cloud covered the Tabernacle and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle. Moses could not enter the Tabernacle because the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle or tent of meeting. Note the tents of the Israelites surround the Tabernacle exactly as God proscribed. God’s grace and love are demonstrated by His presence.

After the death, burial, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ the believer is indwelled instantly at salvation by the Holy Spirit. The disciple has a choice every day as to whether he or she will be filled by the Holy Spirit and receive the fruit of the Spirit A  and other content from the Spirit. The disciple also is given the glory of God by Jesus; 22 The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; 23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.” B

Each disciple can be filled daily by the Holy Spirit. Jesus gives His disciples His glory that [1] disciples may live in unity with Him and each other and [2] the lost world may believe that God sent Jesus and [3] know God loves them as He loves Jesus and [4] they may come to know Jesus as their Savior.
