Fall 2017 Scripture Memory [Best verses for each week]

#1- 9/3/2017- Matthew 28:19-20.. 19 Go therefore and make disciples * of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” *3 step process: make disciples–new believers in Jesus, then baptize them and teach them the commands of Jesus.

#2-9/10/2017- Exodus 6:6 Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.

#3- 9/17/2017- Exodus 12:41 And at the end of four hundred and thirty years, to the very day, all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.

#3a- 9/17/2017 Exodus 13:3 Moses said to the people, “Remember this day in which you went out from Egypt, from the house of slavery; for by a powerful hand the Lord brought you out of Egypt.

#4-10/1/2017- Exodus 14:31 When Israel saw the great power which the Lord had used against the Egyptians, the people feared the Lord, and they believed in the Lord and in His servant Moses.

#5a-10/1/2017- Exodus 17:15 Moses built an altar and named it The Lord is my Banner;

#6-10/8/2017- Exodus 19:5-6a..5 Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine; 6a and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.  

#6a- 10/8/2017- Psalm 139:23-24..23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; 24 And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.”

#7- 10/15/2017- Exodus 25:8 Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them. [see 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20 that describes disciples as the temple of God today]

#8- 10/22/2017- Exodus 32:14 So the Lord changed His mind about the harm which He said He would do to His people. After intercession by Moses              

#8a- 1 John 2:1 & Hebrews 7:25 My little children… if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ;...He always lives to make intercession for them  His disciples.

#9- 10/29/2017- Exodus 40:34 Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

#10- 11/5/2017 – 1 Peter 1:15-16.. 15 But as the one who called you is holy, you also are to be holy in all your conduct; 16 for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy.

#11- 11/12/2017 – Leviticus 9:23c-24 23c the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people. 24 Then fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering…; and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.

#12- 11/19/2017 –  Leviticus 16:9-10.. Then Aaron shall offer the goat on which the lot for the Lord fell, and make it a sin offering. 10 But the goat on which the lot for the scapegoat fell shall be presented alive before the Lord, to make atonement upon it, to send it into the wilderness as the scapegoat.              [The death of the first goat symbolized the exhausting or propitiation of the wrath of God through the death of an innocent victim substituted in the sinner’s place.  The sending away of the second goat set forth the effect, the complete removal of the sin from the presence of God. Jesus is represented by both goats]

#13- 11/26/2017 – Psalm 73:23-25..23 Yet I am always with You; You hold my right hand. 24 You guide me with Your counsel, and afterward You will take me up in glory. 25 Who do I have in heaven but You? And I desire nothing on earth but You[You and Your is God, together appears 7 times in this scripture]
