Human Origins Gallup Poll
This is an amazing poll from Gallup with latest result in 2014 for U.S.:
a. The largest % at 42% believe “God created humans in their present form at one time within the last 10,000 years or so”, a decline from 44% in 1982. [Top line in chart in link below] This is even more remarkable when we consider that the U.S. population increased from 231.7 million in 1982 to 318.8 million in 2014. A 38% increase of 87 million or 2.7 million per year. (Source http://www.census.gov/)
b. 31% believe “Humans beings have developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life, but God guided this process”, a decline from 38% in 1982. [2nd line in chart]
c. Only 19% of people in U.S. believe “Humans beings have developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life, but God had no part in this process”, an increase from 9% in 1982. [3rd line in chart]
This latest update is from Gallup’s Values and Beliefs survey conducted May 8-11. Gallup first asked the three-part question about human origins in 1982.” Source: http://www.gallup.com/poll/170822/believe-creationist-view-human-origins.aspx
